Product Description
Elixir® Strings with ultra thin NANOWEB? coating have the bright tone and punch of non-coated strings and feel like traditional strings. Elixir® Strings are coated in a unique way to protect wound strings from your DNA and other contaminants. A flexible, strong, yet micro-thin polymer tube defends the Critical Zone of Tone from invading enemies. Nothing (including the coating) gets between the windings. The result? Strings that sound and feel their best three to five times longer than ordinary strings.   Gauges: .011; .014; .018; .028w; .038w; .049w

5 out of 5 stars Love these things   December 2, 2008

I love Elixir strings. They sound great, stay in tune, and last forever.

I have very most/oily skin, and can go through a set of non-coated strings in a week with heavy playing, even with wiping down the strings after each session.

With the coated elixirs, my string life is extended significantly, not to mention the tuning stability, and terrific sound.

Love em...

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Guitar Strings   October 21, 2009

It's not the guitar that makes the sound, it's the string. The string is what is vibrating and the instruments just resonates. So what I am saying is that it is worth buying good strings. Elixir Nanoweb strings are supposed to last longer due to a waterproof coating. But the main this is that the sound quality is excellent. Any guitar pro will tell you, these are great strings.

everything one wants in strings- crisp sound, tone gets warmer after two months, after these strings are on you really only need to change strings once to twice a year- a huge savings

Just got 3 sets of these about a week ago. The sound is great, much better then the strings i previously had. They are very inexpensive too, pick up a few sets and save yourself the hassle.

Not much to say. Easy to install and great tone. Unfortunately, I need to get my truss rod adjusted to make them sound even better.
