Gauges 10, 13, 17, 26, 36, 46 The engineers at Elixir took their original PolyWeb coating and shrunk it down to NanoWeb size. The result? Brighter-sounding strings that last three to five times longer than regular strings. Elixirs are the first major innovation in strings in over forty years, and deliver what they promise: great tone and long life no matter what you put them on or how often you play.

5 out of 5 stars Best Strings EVER!   May 3, 2008

These are the best strings ever. I've tried almost every string on the market, and these are by far my favorite. They sound great and last forever. Believe the hype...they really DO last FAR longer than any other strings, and they sound great while doing it.

Many other strings will sound great for a short while, but as soon as they get "gunked up", they lose any brilliance and tone, and become dead sounding. Not these. They will sound great for the life of the string. In fact, the only way I know to change them eventually is not because they stop sounding good (which they don't), but because I'll start having intonation problems and I know the strings need to be changed. Normal wear and tear does that, but these strings last SO long.

I've tried the polyweb strings from Elixir as well, but I didn't like those at all. To me, they didn't FEEL right. Sticky or something (not like your fingers stick to the strings, but like you could tell they were coated). With the Nanowebs, they sound AND feel like regular strings, but last forever. The only string I'll use.

I put this new set of Elixer strings on my Gibson Les paul and I love the sound it produces. the low E string makes a nice warm sound, and the high E string make a crisp, bright sound. The strings also last a very long time and sustain an amazing sound. I would absolutly recommend these strings to any kind of guitarist.

Used a lot of strings (GHS, Fenders, Yamaha, D'Addario, Slinkys), by far the Elixir NanoWeb sounds best among them. They surly last a lot longer.

ALL STRINGS SOUND GREAT AT FIRST, they just have to. However, the Elixers do sound better in my opinion. They have a nicer cool mellow tone.

My husband has been playing guitar for ten years now, and these are the only strings he'll use.

5 out of 5 stars Incredibly long lifespan   June 24, 2008
Hildsvfar (Illinois)
I started using these strings about 2 or 3 years ago when I started to get sick of replacing my strings every week or two. I've had these strings last months before on my guitar, they endure some severe beatings and I think they sound better once they're settled in for a while anyway. These are honestly some of the best strings I've ever used, and they're much more worth buying than the cheapo strings because you end up paying more to replace those so often. The feel, sound, and overall quality of these strings is excellent, so if you're looking for a new brand of strings to rely on, Elixir is the way to go.
