Product Description Most famously heard on the Beatles album ?Abbey Road?. Super smooth with ultra low tension transforms any electric bass into a jazzy upright sound. Works great on fretless. Also works well with any kind of jazz, fusion, dub and reggae styles. Heard on ?Transformer? by Lou Reed, courtesy of Herbie Flowers. Gauges: .065; .075; .100; .115

These are my favorite strings of all time. I have them on a Yamaha RBX200F (Full Scale Fretless Bass). Wow... I have been working on a lot of stuff for Double bass and these play nice, are kind to the fingers and have the Dead Sound that I am looking for. Definitely not for Funk. The Rotosound Web Site has sound samples listen prior to purchase.
thick pointy mids July 1, 2010 eric I put these on a Rickenbacker 4001. The sound quality of these strings is really cool, dead but lively, nice thick pointy high mid clunk. Reminds me of Paul McCartney's sound especially when I play with a pick. My only gripe is that 115 for an E string is a bit huge, makes for a sloppiness that I have embraced but it took a bit of getting used to. The feel is incredible, super smooth, all around a very cool string to have as an option.
