Product Description Elixir® Strings with ultra thin NANOWEB? coating have the bright tone and punch of non-coated strings and feel like traditional strings. Elixir® Strings are coated in a unique way to protect wound strings from your DNA and other contaminants. A flexible, strong, yet micro-thin polymer tube defends the Critical Zone of Tone from invading enemies. Nothing (including the coating) gets between the windings. The result? Strings that sound and feel their best three to five times longer than ordinary strings. Gauges: .045; .065; .085; .105

| Customer Reviews: Love These Strings July 12, 2010 EmanM3 I recently replaced DR Black Beauties (booo!) with Elixirs and am very happy I did. Elixir strings are easy on your fingers, last a really long time and sound great the whole time they're on your bass. Highly recommended if you care about tone. They are more expensive than other strings but their longevity more than makes up for the price hit. One minor issue I've experienced with these strings is that the coating does tend to flake off after a while, making them look a little "fuzzy" but the sound is not affected by this and it's purely cosmetic in my opinion. If you have the cash, get Elixirs!
Very bright sound August 8, 2007 L. Bleicher (Brazil) 2 out of 7 found this review helpful
I have bought these strings because I've been told they offer a very good sound for a long time. I cannot yet judge it for the time issue, since I installed them for about one month, but I can say they have a really bright sound.
Great strings July 9, 2010 DCW (USA) Got a sample pack for free at SXSW a couple of years ago. I've tried several brands over the last 23 years and have generally preferred GHS Bass Boomers. These strings sound better and last way longer. I'm loving them and keep buying them.
