I put a set of these on a cheap Chinese bass. Wow, what a difference over the factory strings! These are great! The same Ernie Ball quality I expected after using Super Slinky guitar strings for over 30 years. These Rock! Made in USA too!!!

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Product   November 23, 2005

These strings add a wonderfully bright tone to any bass, both cheap and expensive. They can do wonders for the tone and clarety of one's bass.

Also, these strings feel great compared to competetors; they allow for easier bending and sliding.

Recommended.

5 out of 5 stars Best bass strings!!!!   January 7, 2008

I just put these on my Spector Q4; which come with nice stock strings, but were getting old. I am so amazed by the clarity and tone of these strings. I bought the regular slinky strings for my cort action bass a few years ago and was amazed as well. I wanted a little more slinkyness in my bass. I bought the regular slinky at guitar center for $40 about three years ago, and just got these shipped for $20. overall a++++ You will not be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Nice Sound   May 22, 2010
Herschel R. Johnson (SAN DIEGO, CA, US)
These are really good strings. When I first opened the packages, I thought they would be a little tin'y but was pleasently surprised. I am still in the break in period, but they sound really good already. The action is smooth and I don't get a lot of string noise as I move up and down the neck. I can't wait until they are completely broken in so I can do some recording. I would definitely reccommend.

replaced the factory strings on my epiphone thunderbird after having it for 2 years. gives my bass a more metal sound. the notes play more clearer than before and and are more distinct from one another. would buy again
