Product Description Blue Steel? are the world's first and finest Cryogenic- processed strings. Blue Steel strings are a total breakthrough in string technology. Starting with the very finest quality materials, Blue Steel strings are frozen to minus 320 degrees Fahrenheit, held there for an exact period of time and then slowly and carefully brought back to their original temperature. This unique Cryogenic treatment realigns the molecular structure of the string, giving Blue Steel? more highs and lows, a longer life and greater ability to stay in tune. They?re powerful, they?re responsive, they?re brilliant, and they have tons of punch. Cryogenic processing makes Blue Steel hold their tone a lot longer. Dean Markley's frozen strings will warm your heart. Gauges: .011; .014; .022w; .030; .036; .046

| Customer Reviews: Great Strings October 2, 2006 Pedro Villarroel (Maturin, Monagas Venezuela) 16 out of 17 found this review helpful
This was the third set of strings I bought for my acoustic guitar. The first one was a Martin phosphor Bronze light, great strings with a great sound, as I was (and still am) learning to play the guitar, these strings helped me to build the necessary calluses on my finger tips but they were killing my fingers in the process, and it was really hard for me to bar some notes on the upper frets as they were really hard to push on. So I decided to sacrifice a little sound and go to nylon strings, so I bought a D'Addario EJ45 Pro Arte set, they were a blessing for my hurting fingers but having heard the beautiful sound produced by the phosphor strings made me miss them a lot. I still wasn't satisfied, I wanted the sound coming from the metallic strings but also knew that I just couldn't play with the set I already had, so I spent hours and hours in Amazon searching for the right strings, that's when I read a review about the Blue Steel Light being the perfect ones because of the sound they produced and because they were as soft as they can be, so I took the risk and ordered them, and perfect they are!, the sound is just great and my fingers are not all complaining and I can even play bar notes anywhere on the neck, just what I was looking for.
Like changing tires on a car except on a guitar! August 12, 2009 Maverick Brandless 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought these because I wanted some heavier strings on my guitar and I read that they ring out differently. Whoa, I was supprised on how clear and metalic these strings rang as I started tuning my "travel" guitar. It almost made it sound like a full sized guitar. Totally recommend these type strings for anyone looking to liven up their guitar sound.
GREAT SOUND , best strings on this price range. July 1, 2010 M. Grullon 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
i get one but i will get 3 more set ,I really like the sound of this strings.
Good overall July 31, 2010 Sabas Gonzalez (Venezuela) I bought these strings in order to avoid some sliding noises when moving fingers between frets and because they were supposed to be soft (to the fingers), but noise, althoug it decreased to some degree, it's still there (perhaps I need more technique, I admit that), and regarding softness, well, almost the same as the ald strings, but then again, I'm used to nylon strings, so first I must play at least for a solid six months before complaining on that, I think. So I suppose that these strings are good overall, and stay in tune after playing. I'll try later other strings (silk) and see wich fit my style and likes.
