Product Description Elixir Nanoweb Acoustic Guitar Strings; Don't Mess around with An Ordinary String!Elixir Strings with ultra thin NANOWEB coating sound great 3 to 5 times longer than ordinary strings. They have the bright tone and punch of non-coated strings. All this and they still feel like traditional stringsElixir Nanoweb Acoustic String FeaturesGreat Sound that lasts 3 to 5 times longer than ordinary stringsBright tone and punch like that of non-coated stringsThe Same Feel you get from Traditional StringsWhat causes ordinary strings to go dead? You do. Every time you pick up your guitar and play, you leave tiny bits of dead skin, body oils, sweat, and all types of gunk loitering on your strings. Stuck between the windings (a space Elixir calls theCritical Zone of Tone), these contaminants dampen vibration and accelerate corrosion. The result? Strings that are dead, rough and dirty. The Cure for the Common String.Elixir Strings are coated in a unique way to protect wound strings from your DNA and other contaminants. A flexible, strong, yet micro-thin polymer tube defends the Critical Zone of Tone from invading enemies. Nothing (including the coating) gets between the windings. The result? Strings that sound and feel their best three to five times longer than ordinary strings. The Choice is YoursElixir Strings are available in two different flavors. Both deliver the same long life, but differ in tone and feel.

The best strings around June 15, 2007 R. Ormsby (Newport Beach, CA United States) 11 out of 11 found this review helpful
After trying out a few different types of strings for my Taylor, I decided the Taylor company had the right idea after all- nothing beats Elixirs. I figure the price is reasonable because not only do they last far longer than any other strings, they also feel a lot better on your fingers. I prefer the nanowebs to the polywebs because they're slicker and the top layer on the polywebs shreds/feathers a bit over the soundhole sometimes. Overall, definitely worth it.
they work well October 11, 2007 J. Schantz 10 out of 12 found this review helpful

Best Strings at this price... December 26, 2008 Steven McGowan (Germany) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have over 15 years playing experience and I would not have any other strings on my guitar.
I have messed around with many different brands and even the $1/pack I found online (which I wanted to change half way through a set) but there is simply nothing else out there at this price which lasts as long, sounds as good and makes playing such a pleasure as these.
I play mostly acoustic guitar in a one man show and play anywhere from 2-5 hours, though the average is around 3 hours. I finger pick but mostly strum with medium thickness picks. I tune frequently to open chords and there never is a problem.
I never leave home without a few packs in my case in case a string breaks, but I rarely need them until I decide to change all my strings. They last a long time and never seem to loose their vibrant sound.
Elixer strings rock January 13, 2007 Jason P. Robinett (Seattle Wa USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
These strings are great, they really minimize any lose string buzz and they have a wonderfull bright color. Rock on guitar people!
Long lasting, clear tone February 25, 2009 Amy (USA) Love these strings and have used them for years. Asked at a music store for strings that would last longer than a gig or two and was told about Elixir. Have had some last as long as 6 months before they lose their clean tone. I don't buy anything else now.
