Product Description
Beefy Slinky adds a new dimension to the Slinky vibe by providing musicians with thicker gauges and a beefy bottom. The Beefy Slinky electric strings feature thicker gauges to create a bigger sound, optimal for players looking to detune their instruments. Tone, playability, reliability and quality are what you look for in a good instrument. Why not demand these features from your strings? Ernie Ball strings are made from the finest materials so you get quality and consistency in every set. The specially tempered high carbon steel core wire's hexagonal shape ensures the wrap wire is securely held in place through the length of the string. Precision crafted Swiss brass ball ends are attached with a triple lock twist.   Ernie Ball is the pioneer of Rock and Roll guitar strings. Since setting the industry standard for electric guitar strings, the list of Slinky users has grown to include the likes of Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton, Steve Vai and Slash. If you like tone, you'll like Slinkys! Gauges: .011; .015; .022P; .030; .042; .054

5 out of 5 stars The only strings I use   December 1, 2009
Edward A. Raposo (Harrisville, RI USA)
These strings are excellent for drop tunings, as the description would have you believe. I have had such a great experience with these strings that they are now the only ones I use. The majority of the music I play is in Drop C and the tone is much fuller when using these strings.

5 out of 5 stars I Love them!   March 20, 2010

These strings sound great. They give it a deep and beefy tone, like the name says lol. If you want a heavy sound for rock or metal or even some blues, well these are the guitar strings for you

My son loves Ernie Ball strings. I can 2 sets plus s/h for less than 1 at the local shop. Great strings arrived on time and sound great!

These strings are great if you're playing a style of music that requires at least a full step down tuning (DGCFAD). As is expected with Ernie Ball, the strings sound great and last forever.
The tone is super thick (thus the name of the strings), and sound great for metal.
If you need some strings for any genre of metal, or are just looking for a thicker sound for your playing, I would recommend these strings.
