| Customer Reviews: Great strings November 27, 2008 woodwacker (Hunt Valley, MD) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
These are a cross between extra light and light guage strings. Having experimented with the same or similiar gauge strings in other brands I have settled on these. They are better than the coated strings for sure. I don't care how long they last, because they sound so good. The feel is way better than the old comparatively "sticky" sets available 30 years ago. Good feel, above average durability, great tone. If your accoustic does not sound fantastic with a set of these, you should buy a better guitar.
My top choice for acoustic October 18, 2009 anonymous 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
As a guitarist who's had the opportunity to work at Guitar Center (back in 1999), trying each type of string on the market was a fairly inexpensive and easy task. While I'll chose D'Addario EXL's for electric, Martin SP are my top choice for acoustic. The sound and reliability are unmatched for the money. They also have a neat bronze shimmer to them... Granted that's only aesthetic.
Love these strings November 16, 2009 Michael Mckinney I have been using Martin SP's for some time. These, for my guitar, are the best sounding strings I have been able to find. My guitar is a Takamine F360SSMT from 1999 (the one with the laser engraved mountain rosette around the soundhole). This guitar has a dark sound by default. The SP's are bright sounding and on my guitar create a very pleasing acoustic sound with just the right balance for my ears. They seem to last a good while too before any pitting occurs. My favorite strings for my acoustic but YMMV.
Great sounding strings! March 30, 2010 David Morales (North Bergen, NJ) I was using Ernie Balls for a while but decided to try something new. I went into a local shop and was recommended these strings. I can highly recommend these. They sound fantastic. Bright, crisp, colorful. Definitely pick these ups.
Augh! February 25, 2009 F. Novelo (North Hollywood, CA USA) 0 out of 6 found this review helpful
I purchased the product about 3 days ago. I give it a star for being the fastest shipment I've ever had. I'm pretty sure that the strings would have been great if I had the other three strings! I only recieved three! I need six to play music! I'm very unsatisfied with the product. Maybe next time.
